Every year, tens of thousands of individuals travel from around the globe to Salt Lake City for the Young Living International Grand Convention. This annual convention is not only the largest convention hosted in the state each year it is also one of Cornerstone’s largest productions annually.
Young Living’s IGC has surpassed single venue capacities for quite some time now, and the celebration of their 25 year anniversary was no exception. The 2019 IGC required the convention to be housed in four separate venues. Simultaneously, our team occupied Vivint Smart Home Arena, the Salt Palace Convention Center, Rice Eccles Stadium, and the Young Living Lavender Farm in Mona, UT.
Young Living IGC General Session
The Young Living Expo, located at the Salt Palace Convention Center, featured ten uniquely branded storefronts for attendees to experience the Young Living products. Entering the expo took the attendee outside of the convention hall experience and transported them to an entirely different world of beautiful botanicals. The custom entrance piece, pictured below, incorporated 840 carefully constructed floral spheres suspended with synchronized LED oil drops above a forest of live plants, trees, flowers, and hills. The entire installation took four days to prepare and featured more than 3,429 plants.
YL IGC Expo
Planning for an event this size starts well over a year in advance. In pre-production alone, our team clocked over 7,451 hours in just preparation.
Once it was time for all of that preparation to turn to execution, we kicked things off with a six-day load-in.
Over 94 trucks were used to deliver AV equipment, custom scenic elements, plants, trees and décor to the four venues supporting this grand event.
Our largest day of production boasted over 549 event professionals staffed to ensure flawless execution.
The Cornerstone team was responsible for placing over 1,420 individual pieces of custom branded signage.
